Dara Ford
Head PGA Professional
Dara has been the Head PGA Professional here in Galway Bay Golf Resort for over 3 years and is very popular with members and visitors alike. Dara is a Galway native and has returned to his hometown after spending many years as Professional in Rosses Point, Co Sligo and more recently Santo De Serra Golf Course in Madeira.
“I have a passion for teaching, and we have great facilities here in Galway Bay which enables me to give lessons, whether on the putting green, Chipping greens or Full-Size Driving Range. The members are great and I also love to see visitors coming from afar to enjoy Galway Bay”
Damien Coleman
Senior Course Superintendent
Damien is originally from Co. Clare and has been working at Galway Bay Golf Resort since 2008. He studied a BSc. In Turgrass Science at the University of Lancashire.
Whilst studying, Damien received a scholarship from the R&A in Scotland as part of their Scholarship Scheme. He graduated from university in 2008 and began as Assistant Superintendent that year.
In 2011 Damien became Golf Course Superintendent. During that time Damien was selected by the R&A to work as part of the Greenkeeping team at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
